BORDALLO, RICARDO JEROME

Father: Baltazar Jerome Bordallo
Mother: Josefina Torres Pangelinan (maiden)

Spouse: Madeleine Mary Zeien (maiden)

Ricardo Jerome Bordallo spent his life serving the people of Guam in various capacities including working in his family company, Bordallo Consolidated, serving in the Guam Legislature, serving in many civic organizations, was owner of Ricky's Auto Company, and was involved in various real estates deals. Bordallo served as Governor of Guam 1975-1978 and 1984-1986.

Many who grew up in Guam remember the famous Bordallo house overlooking Tagachang Beach. When Super Typhoon Pamela struck the island in 1976, the Bordallo house was severely damaged and was never renovated.

In 1986 Bordallo was indicated on corruption charges and was set to serve a four-year sentence in a federal prison in February 1990. Just before Bordallo was set to leave the island to start his prison sentence, he committed suicide at the foot of the Chief Kepuha (also spelled Quipuha) statue at the Agana Paseo Loop.
