CEPEDA, JUAN SABLAN

Juan's name appears, in at least two places, as a casualty of World War II.

A National Archives document lists Juan as "Native seaman 2c, USN." Juan's wife is identified as Juana Quenga Cepeda of Piti, GU.

Juan's name also is included on the "Memorial Wall of Names" in Guam in the section honoring those who died during World War II.

The "Memorial Wall of Names," located in Asan Bay Overlook (part of the War in the Pacific National Historic Park, U.S. National Park Service), contains the names of not only 1,880 U.S. servicemen who died in Guam during World War II but also the names of the 1,170 people of Guam who died and 14,721 who suffered atrocities of war from December 8, 1941 - August 10, 1944.
